RWTH Aachen University is ranked as the 57th best engineering university in the world by the "Times Higher Education-QS World University Rankings 2009." According to the school's website, around 31,400 students are enrolled in more than 100 academic programs. More than 5,000 of them are international students hailing from 120 different countries.


Technical University of Berlin


The Technical University of Berlin is ranked as the 62nd best engineering university in the world by the "Times Higher Education-QS World University Rankings 2009." The univeristy has 27,049 students, including 5,603 students from other countries, seven schools, 322 professors and 90 courses of study.


University of Karlsruhe


The University of Karlsruhe is ranked as the 71st best engineering university in the world by the "Times Higher Education-QS World University Rankings 2009." It has recently merged with the research centre Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe and has been renamed the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. German Language Requirement:

The field of employment for engineers are very varied, ranging from the construction industry to company related services. Highly qualified Engineers are urgently sought after in Germany in Production and sales as well as research and development in particular.




The summer semester takes from the 1st of April to the 30th of September, the winter semester takes from the 1st of October to the 31. March. In the semester break students have to write thesis, at universities of applied sciences students have tests during that time. Prior to the main intakes, it is always advisable to take basic German langauge training.
